Trend: "Don't Panic" Redux

Perhaps we are trying to control the tensions of the times: war, natural disasters, pandemics...

Following on Lachlan's post a week ago about the "Don't Panic" tone of the news, I notice the same theme of fear and panic throughout our entertainments. Are we having fun, or what?

"We got muthafuckin' SNAKES!"

A thin line between safety and calamity.

In order to face our fears, we must dissect them.

"Ooops." Shit done hit the fan now!

Remember the old-school nuclear basements during the 1950's "Red Scare"?

Precautionary security is a new normal, the signs are all around us…
