A new service from a company called Blogburst is going to play aggregator and middleman to bloggers and mainstream media. It will deliver a proprietary feed of up to 600 top blogs to help inform the stories of newspapers like the Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, Austin American-Statesman and San Antonio Express. For their end, bloggers get wider distribution, fame and fortune (ok maybe not). Sign up here if you want to be invited.

This is a pretty interesting angle, I don't know why the papers can't just configure their own rss readers but if Blogburst is doing a lot of filtering for them it could be worthwhile.
