Trend: Got Gaze?

Damn, I thought "very-fine" only came in a bottle! ... Do you have a map cause I keep getting lost in your eyes? ... Do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by you again?

For all you single people out there looking to cut the meaningless small talk and cheesy one-liners, try joining an eye gazing party. Founder and New York native, Michael Ellsberg, combined his love for bringing interesting people together and his knowledge of the art of eye contact. The parties resemble that of a speed-dating party. Couples spend three minutes staring into each other's eyes and when the three minutes are up, they move on to the next eye gazer. There is one catch - no talking allowed.

Apparently there's something to the whole eye-gazing thing. From the Feb. 2006 National Geographic article "This Thing Called Love":

"Arthur Aron, a psychologist at Stony Brook University in New York, conducted an experiment that illuminates some of the mechanisms by which people become and stay attracted. He recruited a group of men and women and put opposite sex pairs in rooms together, instructing each pair to perform a series of tasks, which included telling each other personal details about themselves. He then asked each couple to stare into each other's eyes for two minutes. After this encounter, Aron found most of the couples, previously strangers to each other, reported feelings of attraction. In fact, one couple went on to marry."

sounds like a creepshow to me. i remember doing this as a kid with my pop or other kids...only the objective then was to not blink and not laugh. the one who breaks concentration loses.

so can we add "he/she gives good gaze" to "he/she gives good text" for people skilled in flirtatious txting ??

(PS. that is "gives good IM" for yanks I think)

why eye gaze when you can spoon? cuddleparty.com - founded in nyc a few years back - may be more your speed (unless you're prude). but don't worry, according to wikipedia, they "use a set of rules to set up a safe space and keep things from heating up too much, such as no nudity, hands under clothes, dry humping, or other sex. Erections ("Mother Nature's way of giving us the thumbs-up sign") are not problematic, but should not be acted upon."

I enjoy a wonderful dose of heart melt. Four weeks later my brain still puts out words about her personality, which I've been noting. I'm convinced she's having very similar experiences.
