According to cricket lore, when Herschell Gibbs put down a sitter in the Cricket World Cup (The real "World Series", American heathens), Steve Waugh said to him "Mate, you just dropped the world cup".

Well, Zizou, you just nutted the World Cup out of the park. And blew your legacy. Oops.

ESPN/ABC has been on some tear to remove this video from YouTube as well as the undoutedly tens of other sites hosting a clip of Zidane's final international play. Can't find a single WC clip online. All I want is to hear Univision's commentary during the act's many replays. Word has it that Univision saw such a dramatic increase in viewership over the course of the Cup that they could only attribute it to non-Spanish speaking Americans that couldn't stand ESPN's camera angles or Balboa. Of course they flooded back for Alexi Lalas and Julie Fowdy's half time report.
