A campaign for New Line Cinema created by VariTalk to promote the movie "Snakes on a Plane" offered Web users the chance to send a prerecorded phone message from Samuel L. Jackson, but it proved so popular with visitors that the site was overwhelmed and the service did not work as advertised. A VariTalk executive said the service would be working as of today.
