According to the BBC, Project Entropia, one of the many online worlds, has just launched a real cash card that allows you to access funds accumulated within the game from any ATM. It essentially functions as a foreign ATM card. 10 PED (project Entropia Dollars) are equivalent to $1 USD.
The card also lets you transfer real money into PED, as well as access statements, balances and other bank like features.
This is amazing, it means that you can do a day's work in PE, make a bunch of money, log off and go to an ATM to collect your pay seamlessly. There's no reason to have a real job at all, you might as well live a completely virtual life.
